Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is a very important and helpful scheme for crores of farmers of the country. The Central Government had successfully released the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana on June 20, 2026. According to information received from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), during this installment, approximately Rs 18,880 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers of the country. This fantastic figure also included more than 2.18 crore women farmers of the country, who got direct benefits of this scheme. Also on the official website of PM Kisan, the total number of farmers who received benefits during the period from April to July 2026-27 has been recorded as 9,44,65,646.

According to the latest update of August 2026 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, land seeding, linking Aadhaar with bank account and getting e-KYC done are very mandatory conditions to avail the benefits of the scheme. Unless the verification of all these processes is completed, there may be difficulty in getting the next installment. The official website of PM Kisan also makes it clear that getting e-KYC done is completely mandatory and for this, the facility of biometric based e-KYC has also been made available on the portal.
