His last three throws were 84.31 meters and 85.14 meters respectively, but the real blast came in his sixth and final attempt. Rohit Yadav won bronze medal

India's second powerful thrower Rohit Yadav also showed a very aggressive game in the final match. He maintained the lead till half of the final. Rohit showed excellent consistency throughout the match and four of his throws crossed the 82 meter line. Ultimately, Rohit Yadav captured the bronze medal with his best throw of 84.35 meters. In this way, India won silver and bronze medals in the same event.

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathiraj wins gold medal, Arshad Nadeem misses

World number-1 javelin thrower and currently in-form Sri Lankan Rumesh Pathiraj had entered as the strongest contender in this match also. He maintained his dominance by winning the gold medal with a huge throw of 88.55 meters. At the same time, Pakistan's star athlete Arshad Nadeem missed the podium this time and had to return empty handed.
