The Arakan Army said in a statement issued early Tuesday that it would take immediate retaliatory action against the people and organizations responsible for the attack. The organization alleged that a large number of civilians had lost their lives in deliberate air strikes. Myanmar's military had no immediate comment on the attack. However, the army has previously said that its air strikes target only military targets. She has also been accusing organizations opposing military rule of being involved in terrorism.
Conflict continues after military coup in 2021

The Arakan Army is an armed organization of the movement seeking greater autonomy for Rakhine's ethnic minority community. It started military operations in Rakhine in November 2023. After this the organization captured 14 out of 17 townships and an important regional military headquarters in the state.
