For the Legislative Council elections to be held in the year 2026, the party has announced the names of its candidates for graduate and teacher seats in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Overall, BJP has released the list of candidates for 10 seats in both the states, which includes 4 seats in Bihar and 6 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Talking about Bihar, elections are to be held on four Legislative Council (MLC) seats, and BJP has decided its candidates on all these seats. The party has fielded Naval Kishore Yadav from Patna teacher seat. Ashok Kumar Rathore has been made a candidate for the Allahabad-Jhansi graduate seat. Apart from this, the party has also fielded its candidates on teacher seats.
