New Delhi. The Central Election Committee of BJP has declared its 6 candidates for the elections to be held on 11 seats of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC). BJP has also released the list of names of four MLC candidates from Bihar. BJP has fielded Kedar Nath Singh from Varanasi graduate, Dinesh Goyal from Meerut graduate, Ashok Kumar Rathore from Allahabad-Jhansi graduate. Dr. Pramod Mishra from Varanasi teacher seat, Engineer Hari Kishore Tiwari from Agra teacher seat and Dhruv Tripathi from Gorakhpur-Faizabad teacher seat have been declared candidates.

BJP has not yet finalized its candidates on five seats of UP. Soon the list of candidates will be released for discussion on these seats also. On the other hand, in Bihar, BJP has finalized the names of Naval Kishore Yadav from Patna teacher seat and Narendra Prasad Singh as candidate from Tirhut teacher seat. Whereas Dr. N.K. from Kosi graduate seat of Bihar. Yadav and Darbhanga graduate Sarvesh Kumar will be BJP candidates. Elections are to be held for 8 seats of Bihar Legislative Council.
It is noteworthy that the notification for Legislative Council elections in both the states of UP and Bihar has been released today i.e. on 29th September. October 6 is the last date for filing nominations of candidates. The nomination papers of the candidates will be scrutinized on October 7. After this, candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers till 9th October. Voting for 11 MLC seats in UP and 8 MLC seats in Bihar will be held on October 23. Voting time has been kept from 8 am to 4 pm. The names of the winning candidates will be declared after the counting of votes on October 27.
