BJP leaders have reacted to Arvind Kejriwal’s recent comments regarding women’s safety and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Delhi government minister Ashish Sood and BJP MLA Abhay Verma raised questions on Kejriwal’s statements and informed about the steps being taken by the government for women’s safety.

Ashish Sood expressed objection to Kejriwal’s language
Minister Ashish Sood said that the kind of language used by Arvind Kejriwal against Prime Minister Narendra Modi is beyond political allegations. He said that Kejriwal himself has been the Chief Minister of Delhi and has held the responsibility of the constitutional post. In such a situation, they are expected to maintain decorum while making public statements.
Sood also commented on Kejriwal’s current political role. He alleged that Kejriwal is making such statements to maintain his relevance in opposition politics. He also used the term ‘Urban Naxal’ regarding some statements of Kejriwal.
Enumerate the government’s work on women’s safety
On Kejriwal’s questions related to women’s safety, Ashish Sood said that it is one of the priority issues of the government. He said that with police reforms, such places in Delhi are being identified where there is not enough lighting. It has been said that these places will be identified as ‘dark spots’ and security arrangements will be strengthened.
Sood also mentioned the identification of weak areas related to mobile networks. According to him, sudden unavailability of mobile network in an area at night can create a feeling of insecurity among people. Such places are also being identified from security point of view. He also mentioned many other reforms including increasing the deployment of women policemen in police stations.

Questions were also raised on the arrangements of the previous government
Ashish Sood also raised questions regarding the CCTV cameras installed for the safety of women during the tenure of the previous government. He alleged that there were many irregularities and shortcomings in the system of installing cameras. He also raised questions on the functioning of CCTV cameras installed in schools. Sood said that the present government is working to remove these shortcomings and improve the security system.
Abhay Verma also expressed objection to Kejriwal’s statement
BJP MLA Abhay Verma also reacted to Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Kejriwal himself has held a constitutional post like Chief Minister, hence he is expected to maintain decorum of language in public discussions.
Verma alleged that Kejriwal made condemnable and personal remarks against the Prime Minister. He said that the use of such language by a former Chief Minister is not appropriate. The BJP MLA said that the party does not support any wrongdoing, but according to him it is not appropriate to repeatedly target the Prime Minister personally in political statements. He said that the public is watching the statements of the leaders and their political behavior.
