No special meal has been organized for the Chief Minister. Shuvendu Adhikari sat and played the same mid-day meal that school students eat. He went to a government event at Bantara Madhusudan Palchoudhary High School in Howrah on Tuesday, sat at the same table with the students and talked to them.
Lunch at the same table with students
Subhendu Adhikari had gone to the inauguration ceremony of ‘Sarathi’ project at Bantara Madhusudan Palchoudhary High School. There he sat and ate the midday meal prepared for the students. The regular school menu was served on steel plates. The menu included rice, moong dal, potato-soybean curry and tomato chutney. The school administration claimed that no separate menu was kept for the Chief Minister.
Check the quality and cleanliness of food
School principal Tanmay Chakraborty said that Shuvendu has seen the quality of food and the mid-day meal served. The school administration said that the issue of cleanliness in the kitchen and serving food has also been given priority. The school has said that he also inspects the work of the mid-day meal workers and the arrangements for serving food.
Talk to students about studies
Shuvendu not only eats food but also talks to the students. According to some students, the experience of eating at the same table with the Chief Minister will be memorable for them. He also greeted and talked to them while eating.

Bantra Madhusudan Palchoudhary High School is an old educational institution in Howrah. According to the school administration, the institution is carrying forward a tradition of about 150 years. With the help of former students, a new mid-day meal hall has been constructed in the school. Alumni of this school include famous footballer Shailene Manna.
Commitment to bring the school under Adarsh Vidyalaya
The school administration claims that the development of the school was also discussed in the programme. It is reported that Shuvendu Adhikari has promised to bring the institution under Central Model School. Other ministers and MLAs were also present on this occasion.
