TVS Motor Company has launched its new performance scooter TVS Ntorq 150 in the Nepali market. Its starting price in Nepal has been fixed at NPR 3,69,000. This scooter will be available for sale in Nepal in three color options – Stealth Silver, Racing Red and Turbo Blue. With a 149.7cc engine it becomes one of the fastest petrol scooters in TVS’s current portfolio.

Engine, Power and Speed Performance
TVS Ntorq 150 has a 149.7cc single-cylinder, 3-valve air-cooled engine, which works on TVS’s O3C (Oil-Cooled Combustion Chamber) technology. This engine generates maximum power of 13 bhp and peak torque of 14.2 Nm. The company claims that this scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, while its top speed is 104 km/h. Compared to the old 125cc model, changes have been made in this new engine with larger bore, longer stroke, new airbox and exhaust routing.
Cooling, Braking and Suspension
The three-valve head of the engine has two intake valves and one exhaust valve, which improves the air flow in the combustion chamber and makes the engine work smoothly even at heavy load. TVS’s O3C technology controls the engine temperature through the oil, thereby maintaining performance even on long distance journeys. Additionally, it has iGo Assist (Integrated Starter Generator) to provide extra power during acceleration.
The Nepal-specific model comes with single-channel ABS and Traction Control System (TCS) for better road grip and safety. For suspension, there is a telescopic fork at the front and a coil-spring hydraulic unit at the rear, which has been tuned for sporty riding.

Design, technology and features
Talking about the design, its front has projector headlights, angular combination lamps, aerodynamic winglets, exposed handlebar and small exhaust. Signature T-shaped LED taillight has been given in the rear.
In terms of technology, the Nepal model gets more than 50 connected features through TVS SmartXonnect. Along with this, facilities like 22 liters of under-seat storage, E-Z center stand, adjustable brake lever, hazard lamp and follow-me-home headlamp are also included.
