Amidst the drought, Uddhav-Raj Thackeray's appeal to give the expenses of the morcha to the farmers

Mumbai Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state spokesperson Navnath Ban has suggested Shiv Sena UBT President Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray to stop the expenditure on the proposed morcha (protest march) on October 4 in Mumbai in view of the drought situation in the state and donate this amount to help the drought-hit farmers of Marathwada and Vidarbha.

Navnath Ban said in a press conference held at the BJP state office on Wednesday that the government is standing strongly with the farmers in the situation of drought and the third installment of loan waiver has also been given to the farmers on Wednesday. In the coming times also, all possible help will be provided to the farmers. He said that instead of spending crores of rupees by taking out a morcha in Mumbai amid the farmers’ crisis, political parties should help the farmers.

He said that it is not appropriate for political parties to take out a front at the time of farmers’ crisis. It is expected from Raj Thackeray that he will not take out a heavy expenditure march in view of the drought situation. All political parties should stand strongly with the farmers at this time. He said that Thackeray has a habit of ‘work from home’. He questioned whether plowing and sowing could be done for farmers through work from home.

Ban said that if the morcha is taken out online then the saved amount should be given to the farmers. On the issue of government taking loan, Ban said that the government will take loan if needed, but will not leave the farmers destitute. He said that it is the priority of the Mahayuti government to stand strongly with the farmers.
