Giriraj Singh attacks Rahul Gandhi over electoral rolls – Read

NEW DELHI:

Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of “mental bankruptcy” and alleged that he was attacking constitutional institutions over the revision of electoral rolls.

Speaking in Noida, Singh criticised Gandhi’s objections to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and claimed that people whose names were missed or deleted would have an opportunity to submit their details.

Singh also alleged that Gandhi was seeking to “burn the country down” after failing to regain power and claimed that he would eventually leave India. These were political allegations made by the Union minister.

Singh also attacked the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance in Uttar Pradesh and criticised opposition leaders for their comments on the Election Commission and the Supreme Court.
