An incident has come to light from Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where two elderly sadhus living in a Hanuman temple complex outside the village were burnt alive to death. This incident took place at around 1 o'clock in the night. As soon as this sensational incident came to light, there was an atmosphere of panic and tension in the entire area.
According to initial investigation, an old dispute regarding temple land is said to be the reason behind the incident. The two victims of the incident have been identified as Gopal Das and Bade Das. The elder Das among these was physically handicapped. Both of them used to stay in the temple premises for a long time and worship and take care of it.
