Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on phone with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday. The two leaders reviewed important areas of bilateral cooperation including trade, defence, energy and critical technology. Also agreed to work together to promote global peace and security.
Regarding the conversation with Trump, the PM wrote on X, had a meaningful conversation with President Trump. We reviewed our mutual cooperation in trade, defence, energy, critical technology and other areas. We agreed to maintain close contacts to advance our comprehensive global strategic partnership.
PM said, there was complete consensus on maintaining constant mutual contact and close coordination to take forward the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership of both the countries.
Apart from bilateral relations, the Prime Minister and President Trump also talked about regional and international issues. In this, special attention was paid to the ongoing global efforts to promote peace and security around the world. Both leaders expressed their desire to work together to maintain international stability.
