Afghanistan earthquake : Earthquake tremors have been felt once again in Afghanistan. The intensity of this earthquake that occurred on Thursday was measured at 5.3. No casualties have been reported so far in this incident.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) said a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan on Thursday morning. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at 6:59:20 am (IST) at a depth of 126 km.
“Earthquake intensity: 5.3, Time: 01/10/2026 06:59:20 IST, Latitude: 35.981 N, Longitude: 68.700 E, Depth: 126 km, Location: Afghanistan,” the agency said in the post.
The NCS placed the epicenter about 165 kilometers north-northwest (NNW) of Kabul, at 35.981 degrees north latitude and 68.700 degrees east longitude. Further information is awaited.
