IND vs SL Semi-Final : India has defeated Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semi-finals of the men's cricket event of the Asian Games 2026 being played in Japan. With this, the team led by Shreyas Iyer has secured a place in the gold medal match. While the world and Asian champion team will clash with Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will compete for the bronze medal.

The Indian team completely dominated the second semi-final match played at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin. The Sri Lankan team could not stand anywhere in front of this Indian team. On a difficult pitch, where the ball was moving very strangely, India batted first and scored 169 runs. In which Ishan Kishan's explosive innings of 80 runs had the biggest contribution.
Indian bowlers also did wonders in the second innings. Bumrah gave a strong start to the team by taking two wickets in the very first over. Sri Lanka tried to win by playing aggressive shots, but they ended up giving away wickets to the Indian spinners. Akshar and Abhishek got two wickets each, while Vashi got one wicket. The Sri Lankan innings was reduced to just 45 runs in 9.5 overs.
Now India will face Pakistan for the gold medal, while Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh for the bronze medal.
