Market closed on Gandhi Jayanti, know the next holiday of October

New Delhi. There will be no trading in the domestic stock market for the next three days. Now the stock markets will open directly on October 5 and only then will normal trading begin.

There will be a holiday on Friday in Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) due to Gandhi Jayanti tomorrow, 2nd October.

After tomorrow’s holiday, there will be a weekly holiday on Saturday and Sunday for the next two days i.e. 3rd and 4th October. For this reason, now trading in the stock market will start from October 5.

Like BSE and NSE, there will be a complete holiday in Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) also on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. This means there will be no trading in the commodity exchange tomorrow in both day and evening sessions.

Due to this holiday, like the stock exchange, the commodity exchange will also have a holiday for three consecutive days. After this, normal trading will start in the commodity exchange from October 5.

According to the stock exchange, due to Gandhi Jayanti holiday, there will be trading holiday for all Equity Segment, Equity Derivatives Segment, Currency Derivatives Segments, New Debt Segment- Reporting, Settlement and Trading Platform (NDS-RST), Tri Party Repo in BSE.

Apart from this, there will be no trading in Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR), Commodity Derivatives segment in both the sessions of the day.

Similarly, due to Gandhi Jayanti holiday in NSE, there will be a holiday in all segments like Equities, Equity Derivatives, Corporate Bonds, New Debt Segments, Negotiated Trade Reporting Platform, Mutual Funds, Security Lending and Borrowing Schemes, Currency Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives and Interest Rate Derivatives.

According to the holiday calendar of the stock market, after the Gandhi Jayanti holiday tomorrow in the month of October, there will be a Dussehra holiday in the stock market on 20th October, while there will be a holiday in the stock market on 10th November due to Bali Pratipada.

There will be a holiday of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Guru Parab on 24th in the month of November. Similarly, in the last month of the year, December, there will be Christmas holiday on 25th.

This year Diwali will be celebrated on Sunday, November 8. Due to it being Saturday and Sunday, this day has not been included in the holiday calendar of the stock market.

Despite Diwali being Sunday, there will be Muhurat trading in the stock market. However, Muhurat trading timings will be announced later.
