Prayagraj. Senior leader associated with socialist ideology Keola Prasad Shukla passed away. He was unwell for quite some time. The news of his demise sent a wave of mourning in the area. Started political journey from student politics
Kevala Prasad Shukla started his political career from student politics. He had an active participation in social and political issues since his student days. With time he joined socialist politics and continued playing his role in public life.
It is said that despite being unwell, he continued advocating principled values and honest politics in public life. According to his supporters and acquaintances, despite the changing times in politics, he did not compromise with his core principles.
Last rites took place at Chhatnag Ghat
The last rites of Keola Prasad Shukla were performed on the banks of Ganga at Chhatnag Ghat in the afternoon. His only son Sachin Shukla cremated him. A large number of regional people, political workers, social workers and their acquaintances attended the funeral.
During the funeral, the political life of Keola Prasad Shukla and his principles were discussed among the people present at the ghat. People remembered him as a leader who gave importance to simplicity, honesty and principles in his public life.
Many people including MP and MLA expressed grief
Hundreds of dignitaries of the area including regional MP Praveen Patel, MLA Deepak Patel expressed grief over his demise. People associated with political and social sphere described his demise as an irreparable loss to the public life of the area and paid tribute to the late leader.
