New Delhi .Ramsharan Nautiyal, father of famous Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal, has resigned from the primary membership of BJP. Ramsharan Nautiyal has been among the prominent faces of BJP in Vikasnagar assembly of Dehradun district. He has also been District Panchayat President. In the 2022 assembly elections, he had contested as a BJP candidate from Chakrata assembly seat. It is reported that he was feeling hurt by being in the party for some time. After his resignation, speculations about joining Congress have come to the fore.
Ramsharan Nautiyal sent his resignation to BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt through his personal assistant Raj. However, Mahendra Bhatt has denied receiving the resignation. Different discussions are taking place regarding this in Chakrata and Vikasnagar assembly constituencies. After the news of Ramsharan Nautiyal's separation from the party, discussion has started about his next political step. This development is considered important for Ramsharan Nautiyal, who was the BJP candidate from Chakrata in the year 2022, before the 2027 assembly elections.
After the resignation, speculations about Ramsharan Nautiyal joining Congress have also increased. There is talk that he can stake claim to contest elections from Vikasnagar assembly seat on Congress ticket. It is also being told that he has talked to many national leaders of Congress in this regard. However, this conversation has not been confirmed. No official statement has yet come from Ramsharan Nautiyal regarding joining Congress or contesting elections from Vikasnagar.
