Rishikesh. Cleanliness is not just a matter of one day or one campaign, but a continuous process of building a healthy, cultured and responsible society. With the aim of spreading this sentiment to the common people, various activities related to cleanliness and public awareness were organized today in Parmarth Niketan under the Swachhta Hi Seva 2026 campaign.
Sustainable behavior change for cleanliness has been made the main focus of the campaign by the Government of India, in which the active participation of students and youth has been given special importance. In this sequence, students of Parmarth Vidya Mandir and Rishi Kumars of Parmarth Gurukul took out a cleanliness rally and made the society aware about cleanliness.
In the morning, students and sages enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness rally. Holding placards with messages related to cleanliness and environmental protection, he called upon the public to be alert towards cleanliness. The message given through the rally was that Clean India will be built with the responsibility and participation of every citizen.
After the rally, students and Rishikumars actively participated in the cleanliness campaign and volunteered in the campus and surrounding areas. On this occasion, everyone took the oath of cleanliness and resolved that they themselves will follow cleanliness and will also inspire their family, school, ashram and other people of the society for cleanliness. Also resolved to keep public places clean, not throw garbage here and there, reduce unnecessary use of plastic and contribute to creating a clean and healthy environment.
Parmarth Peethadhishwar, Swami Chidanand Saraswati gave the message that cleanliness is our culture, it is a celebration of the beauty and positivity of our life. When we keep cleanliness around us, not only the environment changes, new energy, new consciousness and new responsibility are born within us too.
Our children and youth are the biggest force of this change. Come, let us pledge today that wherever we go, we will spread the message of cleanliness and fragrance of positivity. One hour of hard work, a small initiative and a clean habit, together can become the basis of big change. Make cleanliness a part of your daily routine, your culture and your service. Under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, ‘One Day, One Hour, One Together’ cleanliness shramdaan was organized today on October 1 from 8 to 9 am. Through cleanliness rally, Shramdaan and oath, students and sages gave an inspiring message to the society – “Cleanliness is not just a campaign, it is a culture; Cleanliness is not just a responsibility, it is a service; and Clean India is not just a goal, it is the resolve of all of us.” Acharyas of Parmarth Gurukul and teachers of Parmarth Vidya Mandir made important contributions in this cleanliness campaign and rally.
