To tie. In Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man who returned home after earning money from abroad had a dispute with his wife. Angered by this, she committed suicide by hanging herself from a saree on a peg inside the room. After receiving the information, police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem after Panchnama.
Pailani Dera Moti Lal of Pailani police station area said that his 28-year-old grandson Deepak Nishad committed suicide by closing the door inside the room and hanging himself with a saree from a peg.
After a long time, when he did not come out of the room, his wife Poonam knocked the door latch, but there was no movement from inside. When he peeked through the door, he saw that his body was hanging.
She screamed as soon as she saw the dead body. Hearing the noise, nearby people reached the spot. By the time people broke the window and reached inside the room and cut the noose and brought him down, he was already dead.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The deceased’s maternal grandfather Moti Lal told that Deepak was the only child of his father and used to work as a laborer while living in Bhopal.
His father lives in Goa and works as a labourer. Deepak came to the village from Bhopal at around 6 am on Friday morning. His mother Sunita Devi had gone to Banda to get her five-year-old son Krishna treated.
The husband and wife were alone at home. During this time there was a dispute between the two regarding some matter. Angered, Deepak beat his wife. After this he went inside the room and committed suicide by hanging himself.
Police station incharge Pailani Anand Sahu said that prima facie it is a case of suicide. Further action will be taken after the post mortem report.
