Mahindra's electric SUV range has achieved a big milestone in terms of sales. The total sales of the company's Born Electric (BE) range has crossed 1 lakh units. After this achievement, Anand Mahindra, Executive Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra shared the post on social media platform X.
Booking for the company's dedicated electric SUVs BE 6 and XEV 9e started in February 2025. After this both the models received good response from the customers. Later, the company also included XEV 9S in its electric SUV lineup.
More than 30 thousand bookings were received on the first day
BE 6 and XEV 9e received 30,179 bookings on the very first day of booking in February 2025. According to the company, the total ex-showroom value of these bookings was around Rs 8,472 crore.
The share of XEV 9e in initial bookings was 56 percent. At the same time, about 73 percent customers had chosen the top-spec Pack 3 variant.
Delivery started in March 2025
Mahindra has started customer deliveries of BE 6 and XEV 9e from March 20, 2025. By the beginning of April 2025, the company had handed over more than 3,000 electric SUVs to customers.
By November 2025, more than 30,000 units of BE 6 and XEV 9e had reached Indian roads. Meanwhile, the company further expanded its electric SUV range and introduced the XEV 9S in November 2025. Its delivery started in January 2026.
Billing of more than 65 thousand units by April 2026
According to company data, by the end of April 2026, total billing of BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S had reached 65,615 units.
These:
• XEV 9e: 34,369 units
• BE 6: 20,108 units
• XEV 9S: 11,138 units
Now the cumulative sales of the company's Born Electric range has exceeded 1 lakh units.

After crossing the figure of 1 lakh units, Anand Mahindra shared a post on X regarding this achievement. He said in his message that this is such a milestone for the company that there is no time to stop and celebrate for a long time, because the pace of growth is continuing. He also mentioned torque and growth in the context of electric vehicles.
Mahindra's SUV sales also increased in September
Mahindra's total domestic SUV sales also registered an increase in September 2026. According to the company, domestic SUV sales in September stood at 64,092 units, which is about 14 percent more than in September 2025.
Sales of the electric SUV range crossing 1 lakh units is a significant sales figure amid the expansion of Mahindra's EV portfolio.
