AISA Protest Jantar Mantar Delhi Gyanesh Kumar Resignation : Activists of the All India Students Association (AISA) were seen gathering again at the Jantar Mantar Maidan in New Delhi on Saturday. A curfew was imposed in the Jantar Mantar area in the wake of yesterday's protest. Apart from this, additional police presence, barricades and tight security arrangements have been put in place. More than 1,000 protesters were detained on Friday. These protesters are protesting against the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the SIR of the Electoral Roll.
After the arrests on Friday, AISA national president Neha Bora had appealed to the activists to return to Jantar Mantar by 1 pm on Saturday. After that, today again activists of various organizations from all over the country were seen entering the Jantar Mantar area.

The agitation comes days after a report revealed that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had filed written objections to SIR-related decisions and orders at least 14 times in the past 10 months.
