Appearance of main market of Sitarganj will change

Sitarganj: Efforts to change the image of the city's main market have intensified. After the completion of the park and parking complex being developed on 3.51 acres of land at a cost of Rs 9.75 crore, along with reducing the problem of parking in the market, modern public facilities will also be available to the people. Housing and State Property Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction project and took stock of the progress and quality of the works.

Parking for 48 vehicles, 12 modern shops, toilet facilities, open gym, kids play area and landscaping are being developed in the complex. During the inspection, the Secretary instructed the officials to complete the residual finishing work within the stipulated time as per the prescribed quality standards. He said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has clear instructions that the benefits of development schemes should reach the common people directly and quality and timeliness should be ensured in the construction works.

He said that works related to beautification, greening, parks, rotary, parking and other public facilities are being implemented on the ground on priority in the cities.

The progress of important projects like bus stand, stadium and parking in Udham Singh Nagar was also reviewed. During the inspection, District Level Development Authority Vice Chairman Jai Kishan, Secretary Pankaj Kumar Upadhyay, Superintending Engineer of Irrigation Department PK Dixit, Uttarakhand Drinking Water Construction Corporation Project Manager Narendra Navani, Assistant Engineer Kailash Dungwal and other officers and employees were present.
