CM Vijay suddenly rode on a bullock cart and started vigorously collecting votes along with ministers Sengottaiyan and Arunraj. Then he was taking photo frames from some supporters standing on the roadside. During this time, the bulls in the bullock cart became uncontrollable for some time and Vijay, who was looking carefree, was saved from falling. During this time, the people present on the bullock cart and the commandos managed to hold the CM while he was staggering. Then his security guards talked to him something. After this Vijay sat down and completed the rest of the road show.

During this time he also reached Vanchiamman temple for darshan. When he waved to the people, the crowd cheered loudly. However, his style of campaigning during the last assembly elections in Tamil Nadu politics was completely different. Vijay's usual modus operandi included holding public meetings at selected places, standing in his campaign van and giving a rousing speech for a few minutes and then moving on. Neither at the time of TVK's launch nor during the assembly elections, did he ever go to every corner of the villages and campaign directly.
However, the tremendous efforts that CM Vijay is making for the assembly by-elections being held in Maduranthakam and Dharapuram has caught the attention of people across Tamil Nadu politics. After driving a tractor in the fields of Maduranthakam, his decision to drive a bullock cart himself while seeking votes in rural area of Dharapuram today has surprised everyone.
