New controversy regarding Premanand Maharaj's ashram, claim of spending 5 crores in calling Virat Kohli

Vrindavan. The controversy regarding Sant Premanand Maharaj's ashram in Vrindavan is continuously deepening. A new claim related to the ashram states that Rs 5 crore was reportedly spent to bring cricketer Virat Kohli to the ashram for the first time. It is also claimed that now efforts are being made to recover the same amount. However, this claim of Rs 5 crore has not been independently verified.

This matter has come to light at a time when police investigation is going on in the death of Premanand Maharaj's disciple Rasik Dulari Sharan alias Deepak Lodhi. Meanwhile, questions are also being raised regarding the activities, security and alleged controversies of the ashram.

What is the claim about Virat Kohli?

Shri Krishna Nyas Sangharsh Samiti President Dinesh Sharma Falahari has claimed that a builder and alleged land mafia group associated with the Ashram had spent Rs 5 crore in inviting Virat Kohli to the Ashram for the first time for his publicity and personal interests.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma reached Vrindavan for the first time in January 2023 and met Premanand Maharaj. After this, both of them have reached Vrindavan on many occasions to seek blessings from Maharaj.

The claimants allege that the name and influence of the ashram is now being used to compensate for these alleged expenses. However, no independent evidence has yet surfaced publicly regarding this entire allegation.

Letter to Chief Minister Yogi, demand for Z+ security

Amidst these allegations, it has come to light that Dinesh Sharma Falahari and Mahamandaleshwar Shri Radha Nand Giri sent a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In the letter, expressing concern over the security of Premanand Maharaj, a demand has been made to provide him Z+ security.

The letter also raised a demand for investigation into the alleged property activities related to the ashram and the role of the people active there. Even before this, there has been a demand from the saints to increase the security of the Maharaja.

Questions increased after the death of the disciple

The death of Premanand Maharaj's disciple Rasik Dulari Sharan alias Deepak Lodhi has made the whole matter more serious. Police investigation has revealed that he was seen falling down from the roof. Forensic investigation of the grinder and other evidence found in his room is being done.

The police has also sent the blood sample of the deceased to the Forensic Science Lab. Investigation into the circumstances of the death is ongoing based on CCTV footage, fingerprints and other evidence.

Allegations of people missing from the ashram also

Amidst the controversy, allegations have also been made by some families about youth going missing after coming to the ashram. Recently, a missing teenager was recovered from another ashram located in Barsana area of Mathura. Police are also investigating these cases.

At present, investigation is going on into the allegations and claims coming forward regarding Premanand Maharaj's ashram. The alleged payment of Rs 5 crore and the claim regarding its recovery have not been independently verified. In such a situation, it would not be appropriate to consider these allegations as proven facts before the investigation is completed.
