Delhi Police has claimed to have busted the interstate heroin supply network. Police have seized heroin worth about Rs 50 crore during the operation. 4 accused have been arrested in the case. According to the police, the team of Rohini area conducted a special operation and detected a drug racket active in Delhi. During the operation, the police recovered a huge consignment of drugs and arrested four accused associated with the network.
The police are now interrogating the arrested accused. In the investigation, efforts are being made to find out from where the heroin was brought and in which areas including Delhi-NCR it was to be supplied. Besides, the role of other people associated with the network is also being investigated.
4 accused arrested, heroin and cash recovered from car
According to the police, the arrested accused have been identified as 58-year-old Laxman Hooda, resident of Rohtak, Haryana, 51-year-old Anil alias Bhola, resident of Raghubir Nagar, Delhi, 35-year-old Bablu, resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and Ruksar Ali alias Raju, resident of Bareilly. According to the police, on September 16, information about movement of narcotics was received in Begumpur area. Based on this, the police team stopped a car in Sector-32 and searched it. Car rider Laxman Hooda was arrested. Police claim that 300 grams of heroin and Rs 3 lakh in cash were recovered from the car.
Bhola arrested from Sonipat on 17th September
According to the police officer, Anil alias Bhola was arrested from Sonipat, Haryana on September 17. During the search, 501 grams of heroin was recovered from his car. According to the police, 12 cases are already registered against Bhola. He came out of jail after getting interim bail in the NDPS case registered at Bhalswa Dairy police station, but did not surrender on time. After this the court declared him a fugitive.
Raid again in Lucknow on 4th October
According to the police, based on further investigation and technical surveillance, an alleged heroin manufacturing unit was raided on October 4 in Sita Colony, Jankipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. During the operation, Bablu was arrested and 6.275 kg of heroin was recovered. According to the officer, 2.504 kg sodium, 787 gm acetic anhydride and other items were also recovered from the spot. These include tubs, gas cylinders, mixer grinders, utensils, polythene, electronic weighing machines and wooden baskets. Police said that based on information received from Bablu, the main supplier and owner of the alleged manufacturing unit, Ruksar Ali alias Raju, was arrested from Bareilly. According to the police, the operation has unearthed an interstate heroin supply and manufacturing network spanning from Delhi-NCR to Uttar Pradesh. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter.
