  • First pick the leaves thoroughly and wash them.
  • The most important thing after washing is to dry it completely.
  • If you keep wet leaves, they will rot within a day.
  • After drying, wrap them in some cotton cloth or paper and keep them in a box.

If the leaves start smelling, become sticky or turn black, then understand that they are no longer fit for eating.

How to store carrots, capsicum and beans?

The life span of these vegetables is slightly longer than that of leafy vegetables. If carrots, beans and capsicum are stored properly, they last comfortably for 5-6 days.

  • Keep them in the vegetable box below the refrigerator.
  • Do not keep them completely sealed in airtight polythene. It is necessary for some air to come, for this polythene with holes is better.
  • The biggest mistake we make is that we cut the entire vegetable and keep it.

Do not keep potatoes and onions in the fridge even by mistake.

Many people also put potatoes and onions in the fridge, which is wrong. Potatoes and onions do not need refrigerator. Always keep them in a basket in an open, airy and dry place.
