CBI team has reached the camp office of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Chief Minister Mann gave information about this action by posting on social media platform X and alleged that BJP has started preparations in view of the elections to be held in Punjab. The CBI team has also reached the residence of the Chief Minister's OSD.
Tezzbuzz Desk– Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in his post that his camp office has been raided by CBI. He alleged that in the times to come, ED and CBI will be misused in Punjab to defame the Punjab government and him. Mann also said that BJP is nervous about the love it is getting from the people.
Actually, CBI action has been taken at many places in Punjab and Chandigarh. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann targeted BJP regarding this. He said that BJP has started preparations for elections in Punjab and that is why central investigative agencies are being used.
This action of CBI took place just a day after the order of Punjab-Haryana High Court. On October 5, the High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter related to transfer and posting. The next day on Tuesday, the CBI team reached the Chief Minister's camp office. According to sources, the team is examining the documents present in the camp office.
This action has taken place at a time when the case related to transfer, posting and alleged interference in government work is to be heard in the Supreme Court.
Akali Dal said big action
Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia reacted to CBI's action. Describing this as a big action of CBI, he said that this is the beginning of the end of the game of corruption.
The entire matter is related to transfer, posting and allegations of alleged corruption. ED had written three letters to the DGP of Punjab in this regard. Apart from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's OSD Rajbir Singh Ghuman, Nitin Gohal and Bir Devinder and some other people were accused of being involved in corruption. On the basis of these allegations, ED had demanded to take action against the concerned people and register FIR.
According to the ED, OSD to the Chief Minister Rajbir Singh Ghuman was allegedly involved in a racket related to transfer and posting of IAS and IPS officers. The agency had alleged that he was allegedly interfering in the transfer and posting of administrative officers as well as in government tenders.
