Ramlila takes place every year across the country and people watch it with enthusiasm, but a special Ramlila will be organized in Zirakpur, Mohali, Punjab. This Ramlila is special because there is no male artist in it but all the artists are women. This special Ramlila started from the year 2022 in Peermuchalla, Zirakpur and this time the fifth Mahila Ramlila will be organized from 11 to 20 October. In this, more than 108 women will play the roles of different characters of Ramayana.
A special thing about this Ramlila is that everyone from a 6 month old girl to an 83 year old woman will participate on the stage. Girl students, housewives, teachers, lawyers, CAs, IT experts, businessmen and working women along with retired women will also be a part of this event. The event will be inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

What is special this time?
This Mahila Ramlila is being organized by the organization 'Join the Roots'. The poster of the program was released at Chandigarh Press Club on Tuesday. Founder of the organization, Ekta Nagpal said that this Ramlila started in the year 2022 and this time it is being organized for the fifth consecutive year. Every year, women from different sections of the society are given a chance to showcase their talent on stage. This time, disabled daughters and women affected by acid attack have also been given the opportunity to participate in Ramlila.
Ram will become a woman
The most special thing about this Ramleela will be that women will not only act as female characters, but women will also play major characters like Lord Shri Ram, Laxman, Ravana and Hanuman. Organizers say that its purpose is to send the message that a person's talent is not limited by age, work or gender. Women who handle the responsibilities of home and job can also come on stage and show their art and confidence. Through this event, an attempt is being made to give the message of equality in the society along with women empowerment.

Support of technology in Ramlila
This time Ramlila has also been linked with modern technology. According to the organizers, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital technology, modern lighting, sound and special digital effects will be used on the stage. Its objective is to convey the story of Ramayana and its message to today's young generation in a new way. The organizers are calling it the world's first digital women's Ramlila. The use of technology along with the traditional story of Ramayana can be a new experience for the people watching it. Ramlila will be staged from 8 pm to 11 pm every day from 11 to 20 October.
