Lucknow, Read: Yogi government has given a big relief to about 1.28 lakh Shikshamitras of the state and has released the increased honorarium amount. Under Samagra Shiksha, Rs 460.23 crore has been released for the honorarium for September and October of 1,27,841 Shikshamitras working in the academic session 2026-27. Now Shikshamitras will get honorarium at the increased rate of Rs 18 thousand per month instead of Rs 10 thousand.
A provision of ₹230.11 crore has been made for September and ₹230.11 crore for October also. Instructions have been given to the concerned districts to ensure the process of honorarium payment as per the allocated funds. Yogi government has increased the honorarium of Shikshamitras by Rs 8 thousand per month. Due to this, the monthly honorarium has increased from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 18 thousand. That means the honorarium has increased by 80 percent. Due to payment at the increased rate, Shikshamitras will get additional financial support every month.
District wise allocated funds
The government has earmarked district-wise funds for honorarium for both the months. Instructions have been given to the concerned officers to complete the payment process as per the allocated budget. The government says that the increase in honorarium will provide financial relief to Shiksha Mitras and they will be able to discharge their responsibilities in schools more effectively.
