‘Imperfect Women’ no longer a limited series: returns for season 2

Apple TV has decided to renew its limited series Imperfect Women for another season.

The Psychological thriller series is officially coming back for Season 2, with Kerry Washington reprising her role as Eleanor.

Adapted from Araminta Hall’s novel, Imperfect Women revolved around longtime friends Eleanor and Mary (Elisabeth Moss), who set out to solve the murder of Nancy (Kate Mara), the third member of their close knit group, with Nancy’s story unfolding through flashbacks.

The greenlight for season 2 arrived about five months after the conclusion of its debut season.

Initially planned as a limited series, the show featured The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss and Fantastic Four actress Kate Mara alongside the Scandal alum in the cast.

Both Kerry and Elisabeth served as stars and executive producers on the original installment and will continue in their executive producer roles for Season 2.

The 44-year-old actress will sit out the second season as an on-screen star but will remain an executive producer.

Season 2 will move beyond the book, as there is no second Imperfect Women novel to provide source material.

The upcoming season will instead tell an original story from series creator Annie Weisman and Justin Hillian.
