These days there is political uproar regarding SIR and EVM. India Bloc leaders are continuously demanding the resignation of Election Commission Chief Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also alleged theft of 60-70 lakh votes and EVM hacking. Bharatiya Janata Party MLC CT Ravi has demanded registration of FIR against the allegations of CM Shivakumar.
CT Ravi said, “The Chief Minister alleged theft of 60-70 lakh votes. FIR should be lodged against him. He made false allegations regarding EVM hack, FIR should be lodged against him.”
Because of Form-7, some assemblies have unique names and numbers. We have also lodged a written complaint regarding this. It is not our responsibility to investigate it but it is the responsibility of ERO. If our complaint is true, then the names will be removed and if it is false, our appeal will be rejected.”
He said that only the ER has the right to file an FIR, not the police and Congress. It is our right to complain and we did. It is the responsibility of the BLO to decide what is right and wrong.
On Congress' other allegations, he said, “Is it a crime to give printed forms? Has the Election Commission sent a circular that forms cannot be given in print? We have used artificial intelligence.
We had doubts about the common name and other details and sought clarification. Is this wrong? We have only complained, do voters' names get deleted because of this? ERO does this work. This is not the work of BJP.
BJP leader CT Ravi said that I am just objecting that till now 91 thousand applications have been submitted through Form-7. CM Shivkumar said that names of 60 lakh voters were removed, where are 71 lakh? Police has no right to file FIR.
It is not the job of the police to lodge FIR in election work. Congress is misusing its powers and making false allegations against BJP. We will continue our struggle against this.
