Akash Anand's return to the BSP : BSP supremo Mayawati has given clarification on taking nephew Akash Anand back into the party once again and handing him big responsibility. Mayawati said on Tuesday that Akash Anand did not give her a chance to complain before the marriage. Now after the retirement of Akash's father-in-law Ashok Siddharth, there is no question that there will be a need to expel him from the party any time in future.

In fact, former CM Mayawati had declared nephew Akash Anand as her political successor in December 2023. But, in the last few months, she has expelled Akash from the party several times and after some time he has also returned. In this sequence, Mayawati again took Akash Anand back into the party on Monday and also handed him the post of National Convenor. Many questions were raised regarding this. Now the BSP supremo has clarified the situation on this.
Mayawati said on Tuesday on I want to state that even before Shri Akash Anand got married, he was playing a very active role in the party, due to which he has never been expelled from the party.”
The BSP supremo further said, “But since his relationship with Shri Ashok Siddharth, he has tried to spoil the image of Shri Akash Anand a lot in his own interest. Due to which, with the specific aim of improving Shri Akash Anand, he had to be expelled from the party several times and after realizing his mistake, he had to be taken back. But I am confident that after the retirement of Shri Ashok Siddharth, no such situation will arise again. “The party should not have to separate them again.”
