Three day national seminar organized at Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval

Veraval, October 6, 2026 – Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval. RUSA Component No. under Development Week-2026. 11 and in collaboration with Faculty Improvement Shri Somnath Sanskrit UniversityUnder the joint auspices of Veraval's Vishisht Yoga Kendra, Patanjali Wellness Center and Physical Education Department, a three-day national seminar has been organized on the topic “Role of Yoga, Physical Education, Marma and Naturopathy in building a developed India”.

This national seminar was organized by Ta. It will be held from October 7 to October 9, 2026 at Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval. The main objective of the seminar is to have a comprehensive discussion on the scientific and practical aspects of Yoga, Physical Education, Marma Chikitsa and Naturopathy and to promote awareness and research about its role in building a healthy and strong society.

Vice Chancellor-in-charge of Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Dr., served as the patron and chairman of the program. Narendrakumar L. Pandya, Shri Dilip Kumar Rana (IAS), Commissioner, Higher Education and State Project – SS RUSA and PM-USHA, Gujarat as the instigator, and Dr. as the inviter. Yogesh Yadav, State Nodal Officer, RUSA and PM-USHA, Higher Education Department, Gujarat and Dr. Mahesh Kumar Metra, Registrar, Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval will be present. The inaugural ceremony of this national seminar was held by Ta. Will be held on October 7, 2026 at 10:30 am in the campus. During the seminar, guidance and exchange of ideas will be provided by experts on various aspects of yoga, physical education, philosophy and naturopathy. The main objective of this program is to highlight the role of healthy lifestyle, yoga and Indian traditional knowledge systems in building a developed India. In the program, Vice Chancellor in-charge of Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Dr. Narendrakumar L. Pandya will be present as patron and president. Commissioner of Higher Education Department of Gujarat Government and Commissioner of State Project of SS RUSA and PM-USHA, Shri Dilip Kumar Rana (IAS) will be present as a motivator. Shri J. was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the seminar. N. Vaghela (IAS), Collector and District Magistrate, Gir Somnath will be present. Dr. as the inviter of the program. During three days, research presentations and discussions will be made on various topics by experts, teachers, researchers, students and interested participants in the field of Yoga, Physical Education, Marm Vigyan and Naturopathy. Through this seminar, an attempt will also be made to build a bridge between traditional Indian knowledge tradition and modern scientific approach.

This national seminar organized by Shri Somnath Sanskrit University will make an important contribution in highlighting the importance of yoga, health, physical empowerment and natural lifestyle in realizing the resolution of “Developed India – 2047”.
