New Delhi. Ajay Devgn's film Drishyam: The Conclusion has performed at the box office after its release, which has created a buzz in Bollywood as well as Hollywood. There was already tremendous enthusiasm among the audience about this suspense thriller, which reached the theaters on October 2, 2026, and after its release, the film strengthened its hold in terms of earnings as well. The most special thing was that the film became the second highest grossing film worldwide in its opening weekend, leaving behind many big Hollywood films.
Drishyam The Conclusion opened with a nett collection of around Rs 62 crore on the first day in India. After this, the film's earning momentum continued on Saturday and Sunday also. In three days, the film earned around Rs 176.50 crore nett in India while its gross collection was reported to be around Rs 211.80 crore. The film has received good response from the audience in foreign countries also.
In North America, the film was released in more than 500 theaters in the US and Canada. Here the film earned around $2.7 million in its initial days. The film collected more than $3.4 million from other international markets including Europe and Gulf countries. Till Sunday, the film's global earnings were reported to be around $28.4 million i.e. approximately Rs 273 crore.
The biggest discussion about Drishyam The Conclusion is its comparison with Hollywood films. According to the report, the film left behind Tom Cruise's film Digger which was released this weekend. Digger's global opening was around $20 million. In comparison, Ajay Devgan's film took a better start and registered a strong presence at the international box office.
Brad Pitt's film Heart of the Beast also lagged behind Drishyam The Conclusion in this weekend's global earnings. The film collected around $28 million in its second weekend. Whereas Resident Evil made it to the top 5 with earnings of around $24.5 million. Topping the list was Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson's film Verity which did a global business of around $62.6 million.
Drishyam The Conclusion is directed by Abhishek Pathak. Along with Ajay Devgan, actors like Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Rajat Kapoor are seen in the film. Regarding the story of the film, the makers have presented it as the last episode of the series. For this reason, instead of naming it Drishyam 3, it has been named Drishyam The Conclusion.
The success of the film shows that on the basis of a strong story and popular franchise, Indian cinema can compete with big films at the international box office. Now it will be interesting to see in the coming days how far Drishyam The Conclusion is able to take its initial momentum forward.
