Supreme Court reprimanded
A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on October 7 regarding Rajpal Yadav's check bounce case. During this, the Supreme Court gave him strict instructions to deposit Rs 2 crore from the amount due to the complainant by 13 October. The court has made it clear that their petition against the High Court order will be considered only after this payment is made. In such a situation, during the hearing, the court expressed deep displeasure over the attitude of Rajpal Yadav. The Supreme Court warned that if necessary, his punishment could be increased.
Actor deposited Rs 1.15 crore
At the same time, during today's hearing, Rajpal Yadav himself was present in the court and he had a demand draft (DD) of Rs 1.15 crore, which he had brought by selling his ancestral property. He presented this in the court. At the same time, now they have to pay the remaining Rs 85 lakh by October 13. At the same time, in the court, the judge quipped to Rajpal Yadav – 'Like your films, your money is also missing without trace.' Rajpal sadly told the court that while entertaining people, he himself had become a drama.
Supreme Court has directed actor Rajpal Yadav to deposit Rs 2 crore towards the amount due to the complainant in the cheque-bounce case by October 13. The Court said it would consider his plea against the High Court order after the payment is made. Yadav, who was present in the Court today, brought a demand draft of Rs 1.15 crore, while the remaining Rs 85 lakh is to be paid by October 13 through a buyer of his property, who was present in court along with him. The Court, however, came down heavily on Yadav's conduct and warned that it could enhance his sentence. It said the repeated extensions were being given only to ensure that the complainant received the money. “Law should not be utilized like this”, the Court remarked. The Court said the purpose of directing the deposit was to secure the amount for the complainant and observed that Yadav's conduct did not satisfy it. After passing the order, the bench had an informal exchange with Yadav, who spoke about the financial difficulties caused by his film 'Ata Pata Laapata'. He said the film had resulted in losses of around Rs 200-250 crore and that the producers had also suffered. During the hearing, the Court also remarked in jest that the title of the film is synonymous with his conduct. “Like your movie, your money is also Ata Pata Laapata, gayab”, the CJI said, Yadav then greeted the bench, “Pranam karta hoon,” and spoke about how he had endured losses of Rs 200-250 crores over this film. The CJI advised him to make a good film and entertain people, adding in jest that advocates appearing before the Supreme Court were also good actors and could be cast in his films. Yadav's counsel told the Court that he had approached the Registry to make the payment, but RTGS was not permissible. He said the actor had therefore brought a demand draft of Rs 1.15 crore. On the remaining ₹85 lakh, counsel said a buyer of Yadav's property was present in court and the amount would be paid once the transaction was completed. Yadav himself submitted that the dispute arose from a Rs 5 crore liability connected with film 'Ata Pata Laapata', while the film had caused much larger losses. The case arises from an alleged loan extended to Yadav by Murli Projects Pvt Ltd in 2010 for Ata Pata Laapata. Seven repayment checks of Rs 1.05 crore each were subsequently dishonored.

He had taken the stay order. With the intention of revenge, he caused me a loss of Rs 22 crore in his affair of Rs 5 crore. 'In the beginning he told me that I am a man worth Rs 100 crore. Then he threatened that he would drag me to the courts. I have been entertaining people for years. Now I myself have become a drama. I have done 200 films and they have ruined my life.
