Who had made the allegation of ₹5 crore?
This claim was made by Dinesh Sharma, who is also known as 'Falahari Maharaj'. He is the President of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Trust. It was reported that in a letter sent to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he had alleged that a private company from Rajasthan allegedly spent Rs 5 crore to bring Virat Kohli to Premanand Maharaj's ashram. However, Kohli's spokesperson has clearly rejected this claim.
Kohli reached the ashram for the first time in 2023
Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma reached Premanand Maharaj's ashram in Vrindavan for the first time in January 2023. During that time his daughter Vamika was also with him. After this, both of them came to meet the Maharaj in 2025 also. Even after Kohli's retirement from Test cricket, he met Maharaj.
Premanand Maharaj gave the message of life
During the meeting, Premanand Maharaj had advised Virat and Anushka to remain humble in life, do their work as a service and remember God. At the same time, in the meeting after Kohli's Test retirement, Maharaj had told him to focus on inner thoughts and spiritual transformation instead of external success. Amidst this entire controversy, Kohli's spokesperson's statement is clear that the claim linking the Ashram Yatra with ₹ 5 crore is baseless.
