Jhansi. BJP MLA Rajeev Singh Paricha had to face the resentment of the local youth in Baral Karguwan Khurd village of Babina assembly constituency in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. In front of the MLA who reached the village, the youth raised questions regarding the development works, cost of road construction and the presence of the MLA in the village. A video of this entire incident is going viral on social media.
Youth raised questions regarding development works
In the viral video, some youth are seen asking questions in front of the MLA regarding the development works done in the village. The youth raised the issue of the total cost of work not being recorded on the board related to road construction. During the conversation, a young man also raised the question that if Rs 30 lakh has been sanctioned for some work and only Rs 10 lakh has been spent, then what happened to the remaining amount.
The youth also expressed their displeasure over the public representatives not reaching the village regularly. During the conversation, he said that village development is more important for him than the party. He also said that he will support the party which does better work in the area.
MLA said – the video was distorted and presented
Rajeev Singh Parichha has presented his side regarding the viral video. He says that the video has been taken out of context and distorted. According to the MLA, the anger of the youth was mainly related to local problems of the village, especially issues like cleanliness.
He claimed that he had visited this village more than 50 times and had recently also set up a Chaupal and listened to the problems of the villagers. The MLA said that development work worth about Rs 70 to 80 lakh will be done in the village and assured to talk to the officials to solve the problems of the youth.
Video spreading rapidly on social media
This video, which is said to be more than two minutes long, is being shared rapidly on social media. However, the viral video has not been independently verified. Therefore, the things said and allegations in the video should be seen as claims of the concerned parties rather than being considered as final facts.
Amidst the questions raised regarding the development works in the village, now after the MLA's clarification, the matter is being discussed at the political and local level.
