Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has addressed his clash with coach Jorge Jesus and his future plans for the national team.
The athlete has spoken about his alleged feud with the coach while also confirming his availability for Portugal’s national team.
In the statement shared on his social media accounts, Ronaldo wrote “If I am physically fit, playing for my club, scoring goals, I hope that after serving whatever suspension is imposed on me, I will be available, as I have always been until today, to compete and win for our national team.”
Addressing his abrupt departure from the team in the Norway match, Ronaldo said the coach “broke his word”.
The player said “To my absolute surprise, the coach asked me whether I was ready to play 30 minutes (against Norway).”
The 41-year-old previosulu walked out of the match against Norway in the UEFA Nations League on September 27.
Ronaldo’s retirement has been a matter of public interest in recent months, especially after Portugal’s heartbreaking exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup in July.
