Elina Svitolina will take on Ann Li in the fourth round of the China Open 2026 in Beijing on Wednesday, October 7. The sixth-seeded Ukrainian, currently ranked No. 7 in the world, will face the No. 21 seed from the United States for a place in the quarterfinals on Court 1 at the National Tennis Center.
Svitolina is coming on the back of a 6-4, 7-5 win over Maria Sakkari in the round of 32. The Ukrainian has sealed a straight-set win over Katerina Siniakova, recovering from a slow start to win 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 in her first match in Beijing.
Meanwhile, Ann Li has already gone beyond her previous China Open showing. The American defeated Belinda Bencic, the ninth seed, 6-4, 6-3 in the third round. The victory followed her earlier straight sets win over Ashlyn Krueger.
Li’s run is particularly notable given that she lost in the first round of her only previous China Open appearance in 2025. She has now reached the last 16 for the first time in Beijing.
