A news has come out about India's indigenous 'Tejas' fighter jet program. According to information given by leading American company 'GE Aerospace', four state-of-the-art 'F404-IN20' engines were handed over to India last September. He also clarified that the company is completely focused on completing the supply of engines required for India's Tejas aircraft without any interruption and on time.
Giving a statement in this regard, a spokesperson of GE Aerospace said, “The company is fully committed to India's indigenous fighter jet program.” Additionally, the company has once again expressed its strong confidence in its long-term partnership with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and the Indian Air Force.
The F404-IN20 engine is a larger powerplant for the current Tejas variants. Engine availability plays an important role in the speed of production and delivery of fighter aircraft. Therefore, the delivery of four engines in September is considered an important milestone in the supply chain of the Tejas programme. GE Aerospace said in a statement that it is continuously working to provide the engines required to power India's indigenous fighter jets.
According to the company, its aim is to work with HAL and the Indian Air Force to meet the requirements of the Tejas programme. Tejas is part of India's flagship indigenous fighter jet programme. It is manufactured by HAL and has been developed to meet the requirements of the Indian Air Force. The Tejas program also aims to strengthen the country's domestic aerospace and defense manufacturing capabilities.
