New Delhi. A four-storey building suddenly collapsed in Seemapuri area of the national capital Delhi. There is a possibility of some people being buried under the debris of the building. Police and fire brigade teams are present on the spot. Rescue work is going on. NDRF team has reached the spot for relief and rescue operations. People are being searched by removing the debris. Till now 5-6 people have been rescued from the debris and all of them have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Top officials of the police administration are present on the spot. Local people are also helping in the rescue work.

It is being told that the building which collapsed was built in 25 square yards. There were shops on the ground floor of the building while people lived on the upper floors. This accident happened around 3.30 pm. It is being told that due to the collapse of this building, other nearby buildings have also suffered a lot of damage. The reason why the building collapsed will be known only after investigation. At present no death has been confirmed.

Deputy Commissioner Shahdara, Rajendra Prasad Meena said that the relief and rescue team reached within 10 minutes of receiving information about the incident. People here told that earthquake tremors were felt in the night due to which there was a crack in the building. The wall adjacent to the building also collapsed, burying some garbage collectors under the debris, 5-6 of them have been rescued.
