Boracay in the Philippines ranked second, followed by Palawan in the Philippines.

Bali Island, which held the top spot in previous years, ranked sixth, followed by Phuket at seventh place.

Phu Quoc has seen a surge in international arrivals in recent months, bucking a broader downturn in several major global tourist destinations like the Maldives.

The Vietnam’s largest island welcomed 1.92 million foreign visitorsin the first nine months this year, up 60% year-on-year and equivalent to 95% of its annual target, according to the An Giang Department of Tourism.

Industry insiders attributed the growth to flexible visa policies, the expansion of direct international air routes connecting Phu Quoc with key markets, and a range of tourism promotion initiatives.

More than 798,867 Condé Nast Traveler readers participated in the survey, sharing their opinions on various travel experiences, including cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, spas, and airlines.
