Despite this, security agencies do not take any such message lightly and investigate every time as per the prescribed procedure.
The flight was threatened in February
In February this year, a security check was conducted on an IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Shillong after a bomb threat note was found. The passengers were evacuated from the plane and the agencies conducted a thorough search of the plane. No suspicious object was found during the investigation. After this the plane was taken off safely.
At present, security check is going on at Kolkata Airport. Officials are trying to find out the reality of the threat and its source. The picture regarding the situation will be clear only after the investigation is completed. Further information is awaited from the airport administration.
