In the premium motorcycle segment, Triumph has made a big announcement regarding the 2027 models. The company has shown the first glimpse of 3 bikes namely Tiger 1200, Tiger 900 and Street Triple 798, all three models will get major updates in engine, chassis and electronics. The Tiger 1200 will make its full debut on October 27, the Street Triple 798 on November 17, and the Tiger 900 on December 15.
Street Triple 798 The biggest change in
Among the three bikes, the Street Triple 798 will see the biggest engine update. Instead of the current 765cc engine, a 798cc 3-cylinder engine will be offered. This engine is related to the race engine developed for Triumph’s 2027 Moto2 program. It features a new cylinder head, low-inertia valvetrain, revised combustion chamber and increased port flow. The Moto2 engine is around 2 kg lighter than the previous unit with a nearly 6% increase in peak power. But Triumph has not yet clarified how many of these changes will make it to the road bike.

Big changes to the chassis and design as well
The Street Triple 798 features a new frame, larger double-sided swingarm and underbelly exhaust. The headlamp setup has also undergone a major change with a center lamp with perimeter LED lighting. So the look of the bike looks more aggressive than before.
Tiger 1200 And Tiger 900 Powerful updates in too
The 1200cc 3-cylinder engine has been retained in the 2027 Tiger 1200. But the engine calibration has been tweaked to emphasize higher output and improved refinement. The bike will get Triumph’s most advanced suspension system ever and new rider technology. Advanced safety features are expected as the radar sensor is also visible in the front part.

The Tiger 900 will also get updates in the engine, chassis and electronics. According to the company, the new model will get more power, improved refinement, new-generation connectivity and upgraded rider technology as standard. These 3 bikes are part of Triumph’s 4-model launch program by the end of 2026.
