Patna. The government has set a big target for the next few years to promote industry and employment in Bihar. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the government will lay special emphasis on strengthening the economy and industrial environment of the state before the 2030 assembly elections. Under this, a target has been set to connect one crore families with entrepreneurship.
1. Target of making one crore families entrepreneurs
The government has set a target of connecting one crore families of Bihar with entrepreneurship before the 2030 assembly elections.
2. 'Made in Bihar' given priority in government procurement
Arrangements have been made to give 25 to 40 percent priority in government procurement to products manufactured in Bihar.
3. Emphasis on production in Bihar
The government wants that the goods which can be produced in Bihar should be manufactured in the state itself instead of importing them from other states.
4. Local entrepreneurs benefit in tenders up to Rs 50 crore
In government projects worth up to Rs 50 crore, if an entrepreneur from Bihar is ready to work at the rate of L1 despite being on L2, L3 or L4, then there is a provision to give him work.
5. 45 thousand new entrepreneurs will be ready
According to the government, about 45 thousand new entrepreneurs are being prepared. The first or next installment was also given to about 7 thousand beneficiaries in the program.
6. Assistance up to Rs 10 lakh to every entrepreneur
Under the Chief Minister Udyami Yojana, the eligible beneficiary gets maximum assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh. This includes a grant of Rs 5 lakh and a loan of Rs 5 lakh.
7. Expectation of about 2.5 lakh employment
According to the government's estimate, if about 44 thousand entrepreneurs employ an average of five people, then about 2.5 lakh people can get employment.
8. Emphasis on stopping migration
The government aims to reduce the migration of about 12 lakh people who move to other states in search of work by increasing employment opportunities.
9. One District-One Cluster and One District-One Product
Under Bihar MSME Policy 2026, a target of more than one crore direct and indirect employment has been stated. Also, 'One District, One Cluster' and 'One District, One Product' will be promoted through the Cluster Development Scheme.
