Use of Roli and need for stain removal
Roli is used during worship. From applying tilak on the forehead to keeping it in the puja thali, Roli is used in many ways. But sometimes during puja, Roli falls on our clothes or wet Roli gets applied from our hands, due to which it is natural to stain the clothes. Roli stain is clearly visible especially on light or white colored clothes.
What to do when Roli gets stained
If there is a new Roli stain on the fabric, avoid rubbing it vigorously. First remove the top roll with the help of tissue or cloth, so that the stain does not spread further. Then pour cold water on the stained area and do not use hot water. The newer the stain, the easier it will be to clean.
Use of liquid detergent
Wet the cloth with cold water first. Then apply some liquid detergent on the stain and spread it on the stained area with your fingers. After some time, wash it with cold water and then wash the clothes normally according to its fabric. Be careful not to rub the cloth, as this may spread the stain.
Ways to remove stains on white clothes
If Roli stain is on white cotton fabric, first try to reduce the stain with simple cleaning. If the stain still persists, use an oxygen-based stain remover. But before applying it directly on the cloth, do not forget to check it on some other cloth and read the instructions given on the label of the cloth carefully.
avoid mistakes
Avoid rubbing the stain vigorously. Do not use hot water immediately. Do not apply any chemical or bleach to clothes without testing. If the stain is old, avoid rubbing the fabric repeatedly to remove it.
Ways to remove old stains
If you have changed the cloth after puja and later notice the mark of Roli, then try to clean it. But keep in mind that removing old stains takes time. Try the liquid detergent and cold water method first. If the stain is not lightening, use a stain remover specific to the fabric of the garment.
