This road of Bihar will be four lane, survey started, good news for these districts

Patna. In order to improve road connectivity in Bihar, the plan to four-lane NH-31 between Khagaria and Purnia is moving forward. As part of the initial technical process of this project, survey of the road has been started with modern machines. With this, the people of Kosi and Seemanchal are expected to get better transportation facilities in future.

Investigation is being done through DGPS machine

The current condition of the road from Khagaria to Purnia, via Navgachia, is being assessed. Technical teams from Delhi and Kolkata are collecting data of road height, ground level, curves and other important points with the help of DGPS machines. Based on this information, it will help in finalizing the detailed project report (DPR) of the four-lane road.

These areas can benefit

The widening of NH-31 is expected to ease traffic between Khagaria, Bihpur, Navgachia and Purnia. By increasing the capacity of the road, the problem of jam can be reduced and goods vehicles along with passengers can also get convenience. This route also plays an important role in connecting Kosi and Seemanchal with North-East India.

The process will move forward after the survey

Currently the project is in the survey and technical assessment stage. Based on the results of the survey, further planning and construction related steps will be decided. Therefore, we will have to wait for official confirmation regarding the date of commencement and completion of road construction.
