SP's ruckus at Collectorate in Kanpur, memorandum submitted to the President by making serious allegations against CEC

Kanpur, Thursday. Samajwadi Party Kanpur Mahanagar held a strong demonstration in the Collectorate premises on Thursday against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Under the leadership of Metropolitan President Haji Fazal Mahmood, a large number of SP workers reached the district headquarters and raised slogans alleging alleged irregularities in the electoral process and irregularities in the voter list. After the demonstration, the SP delegation handed over a memorandum addressed to the President to ADM City Saurabh Singh.

The protesters alleged that during the revision of the voter list, complaints like deletion of names of genuine voters and names of the same person being registered at different addresses have come to light. SP leaders demanded that an impartial investigation of the voter list should be conducted and action should be taken against those found guilty.

Metropolitan President Haji Fazal Mahmood said that the party is demanding transparency and fair elections in the democratic system. Making sharp allegations against the Chief Election Commissioner, he said that there are serious questions within the opposition regarding the functioning of the Election Commission. He said that any kind of tampering with the voting rights of the people will not be accepted.

SP leaders also raised questions on the reliability of EVMs and reiterated their demand to conduct elections through ballot paper. He said that the election process should be such that the trust of all political parties and common voters remains intact. During the protest, SP leaders also raised the issue of action taken against Akhilesh Yadav and called it an attempt to suppress the democratic voice. The workers raised slogans against the Central Government and the Election Commission.

During this, Senior Vice President Shailendra Yadav 'Mintu', General Secretary Sanjay Singh 'Bunty Sengar', MLA Amitabh Bajpai, KK Shukla, Narendra Singh Pintu Thakur, Kamlesh Omar, Sulekha Yadav, Deepak Khote, Shadab Alam, Arpit Trivedi, Armaan Khan, Shivkumar Valmiki, Rajesh Kashyap, Mumtaz Mansoori, Hukum Singh, Mahendra Singh, Satyanarayan Gaharwar, Sudhanshu. A large number of party leaders, councilors and workers including Mishra, Deepika Mishra, Falak Naz, Deep Shikha, Pooja Yadav, Deepti Singh, Brijlal Yadav, Omprakash Gupta, Tausif Siddiqui, Sachin Singh, Rajkumar Pal and Rajendra Jaiswal were present.
