The new Gen6 electrically excited synchronous motor technology has been used in the rear motor. According to BMW, it has been given a new stator and more powerful 420A inverter. With this change, the maximum speed of the electric SUV reaches 240 km/h.
In terms of performance, it takes just 3.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. BMW has described it as the most powerful variant of its Neue Klasse SUV line-up.
108.7 kWh battery, 400 kW charging and 754 KM range
The BMW iX3 M60 xDrive has a high-voltage battery with 108.7 kWh usable energy capacity. According to the company’s provisional WLTP figures, it can run up to 754 km on a single charge. Actual range will depend on factors such as driving style, weather, temperature, tyres, load and air-conditioning.
For charging, the SUV has maximum 400 kW DC fast charging support. According to BMW, this much energy can be added in 10 minutes on an 800V DC fast charger, which can provide an additional range of up to 340 km on WLTP basis. The maximum capacity of AC charging is 22 kW.
Different identity from M Yellow Lights in exterior
The BMW iX3 M60 xDrive has been given several M-specific design elements to differentiate it from the regular iX3. M Yellow Lights are available at the front, whose design has been described by BMW as inspired by motorsport. Three light elements have also been provided on either side of the closed BMW kidney grille.
The side profile gets M-specific mirror caps and M badges on the front fender. At the rear, there is an M-specific roof spoiler with a black diffuser and distinct light signature. According to BMW, Adaptive M Suspension, variable sport steering and M Sport differential are also part of the standard equipment.
17.9 inch screen and Panoramic iDrive in the interior
BMW’s Neue Klasse design has been retained in the cabin. It has a 17.9 inch central display and panoramic iDrive system. Separate controls for Boost and M Mode are provided on the steering wheel for the driver. M Sport seats and M-specific interior elements also add to the sporty identity of this version.
For audio, a 430W 13-speaker Harman Kardon system and Dolby Atmos has been provided. Through My Modes, the behavior of lighting, sound, display, chassis and drive systems can be changed. 3D Head-Up Display will also be available as an option.
When will BMW iX3 M60 arrive in India?
The biggest question for Indian customers right now is its launch. BMW has not yet announced the launch date or price of the iX3 M60 xDrive in India. BMW has said globally that its booking/order process will start from the end of January 2027 and production will start in the spring of 2027 at the Debrecen plant in Hungary. BMW has separately mentioned plans to make the iX3 Long Wheelbase available in some markets, including India, but this does not confirm the arrival of the iX3 M60 in India. Therefore, it is too early to tell the India price, launch timeline or any numbers of possible dealer deliveries.
