3 day old newborn stolen from hospital in Bhangel CHC, Noida, woman seen going with bike rider in CCTV

A case of theft of a three-day-old newborn has come to light from the Maternity Child Hospital located at Bhangel CHC in Phase-2 police station area of ​​Noida on Friday morning. As soon as the information about the newborn's disappearance was received, there was a stir in the hospital. The family members searched extensively for the child, but no trace of him was found.

  • According to the information received, Sapna, a resident of Bhangel, had gone to the doctor with her husband Gautam. At that time the three-day old newborn was with his mother-in-law Raksha Devi.
  • It is being told that after being discharged from the health center, Raksha Devi was packing her belongings. Meanwhile, an unknown woman left from there with the newborn.
  • After some time, when the family did not see the child, they started searching for him. When the newborn was not found for a long time, the family members created a ruckus in the hospital.
  • After getting information about the incident, hospital officials and health workers reached the spot. The newborn was searched in the hospital premises and surrounding areas, but no trace of him was found. After this the police was informed.
  • According to the Health Department, after receiving the information, immediate investigation was conducted at the centre. Investigation revealed that the accused woman was roaming around the newborn's family for the last two days and was also talking to them.
  • It is suspected that the woman first won the trust of her family members and then, taking the opportunity, ran away with the newborn.
  • Police have examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the hospital. In the footage, the woman is seen carrying the newborn with a young man riding a bike.
  • Apart from the hospital premises, the police are also scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed on the nearby roads to identify the woman and the youth riding the bike.

According to Phase-2 police station in-charge, based on the complaint of the family members, the process of registering a case against the accused woman and the bike-riding youth is being done. Police say that the matter is being investigated and efforts are being made to identify the accused and reveal the incident as soon as possible.
